Updates for Lumia 920, Lumia 820 and Lumia 620

As part of Nokia’s continuous development practice, we will be introducing new software updates for Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820. This software, version 1232.5957.1308.00xx, includes further performance and stability improvements, enhancements to display stability during a call, and improved automatic display brightness adjustment.

In addition, Nokia Lumia 620 has some new software in the pipeline. This software, version 1030.6407.1308.00xx, will include improved touch behavior and enhancements to system stability and camera picture quality, such as corrected camera exposure when the flash is used in bright light conditions.

We are starting to deliver the latest software on new Lumia 920, Lumia 820 and Lumia 620 smartphones now. Current users of these smartphones will be receiving the updates to their phones later.   6. I cannt access either c drive or memory chip in L620. Even i cannt find the pdf file that i coppied to phone memory chip from my pc via usb cable.
    Is the upcoming update capable to solve these issues??

  11. When we will get 7.8 updates for Lumia 900, 800, 700, 600 ?

    It’s ridiculuous that you are not giving any information and you do not respect older devices owners.

    • Actually it’s a bit odd that some people find their way around the internet and onto a developer based site, yet seem oblivious about the many, many posts on the 7.8 update having and issue, update gets halted, getting fixed and started rolling out again, then get yet another fix. Also this is a MSFT issue, not a Nokia one

  12. hi there, will this update fixes the freezing issue (wont turn on) on lumia 920? after portico update (which supposed to fix this) this problem occurs almost every day

    • Agreed, I am also hoping that the 920 freezing issue is properly fixed with this update. Nokia don’t seem to be very forthcoming on what exactly the “stability improvements” amount to

      • I’ve had this freezing issue too, I’ve narrowed it down to several weather apps that have live tile enabled. Uninstalling those fixed it – BUT – one of the main draws of windows phone 8 is the live tiles so it would be great to have a fix for this

    WP updates are not my main “speciality area”, but as a general comment I would say that unfortunately we can’t comment the exact rollout schedule for the update (per country) at this time. Please be patient, the update should become eventually also available for your county.

    I need to check the update plan for those dev phones (such as the ones given in BUILD event). They used different SW variant compared to actually sold units, which is causing those update issues.

    What comes to possible updates for Lumia 822 / Lumia 810 – I don’t current have info about those. This announcement was specifically just for Lumia 920/820/620.

    Delivery of the WP 7.8 updates should be also resumed now, but it can take up to several weeks until that update reaches all countries.

  16. An update is great will this include the ability to change the SMS tone to something that I can hear !!! If not can we at least have an app developed ASAP so this facility is available it restricts the ability of the phone whe on call significantly !

    • Well, that’s about the ringtone, don’t you?
      You should try Nokia Ringtone app to make the ringtone of your own. I haven’t tried on SMS yet, but I hope it can be used as SMS ringtone.

      • Thanks but this is not the case yet, you can personalise very tone but the SMS tones emails etc, the number to choose from are minimal please if anyone has found an app to personalise SMS let me know

  20. hello, i’m from indonesia. from wpcentral says my lumia 920 has new update firmware version. i’ve checked update, my phone says is up to date.

    but my version is : 1232.5951.1249.1002

    anyone can help?

  25. My 620 was Getting force close nd hanging some times incoming call slide up ll nt work it needs lock after only it ll work…thn automatically it ll switch off restart….

  27. My Nokia 920 is turning off it self intermittently. I have it anly for 3 days and it has turn it off 4 times with no reason with full battery. I have reset the phone to factory settings but still the same issue. I have lost my trust to this phone and going to replace for any android jus after Easter. I like this device but is not relible at all.
    Check other comments from different peoble arround the world they having the same issue and Noki does not bother about .. no respond from anye Nokia rep…
