We developers are just a bit competitive, and always want to know how we stack up against other developers. Today, Nokia announces DVLUP, a rewards program by developers for developers – earn badges and points for development, community support, and completing challenges, then redeem your points for cool gear and display your achievements with pride.
DVLUP is launching as a private beta for developers in the USA and Canada who have a Windows Phone Dev Center Account. Register on DVLUP.com to starting earn badges and points for your development activities, and get recognized for your contributions, your code, and your genius.
You know you want to find out more, so check out the video.
Or just take the plunge and sign up now.

Is there no talent & innovation in the USA & Canada? Why do those devs need a head start? #JustSaying
hehe watch this space for progress when global is unlocked.
Awesome rewards idea from Nokia, pity it is launched with a geolock
I also don’t understand why this new program has a geolock. It just feels like a hurry started program which is not yet ready for a global launch.
But since it is only limited to Windows Phone it is anyway not very interesting. Lets hope for some improvements in the near future.
Its called a beta, so yeah I think they admit up front they are not ready for global launch
“No actual island will be rewarded”, rip-off
Oh, and we can’t just take the plunge, we need a private invite code apparently.
Please have this open for non US devs when you can, we are so many who waits for this to open. This is a super great opportunity. Thank you Nokia for making this happen.
Where can we get the invitation code?
