You might have heard of that Samsung has just kicked-off their new portal for mobile application developers. It's advertised as a great entry point for Symbian developers wishing to develop for Samsung devices based on this operating system. I'm not sure if other platforms will be covered by this site, too.

Hi,
I once gathered some of the basic Symbian-related sites behind a single search engine, take a look at http://www.mobilitics.net/search

Hi,
Yes, I said much the same thing in response to some market research about this.
Using a search engine tends to find resources at all the developer sites but if you are a contributor to discussion boards then there are simply too many to follow. As a result I currently only post at Forum Nokia because that's the largest community. Possibly in the future that will be the Symbian Foundation.
The plan (as I've heard) is for the Symbian Foundation to be the central place for Symbian related tech support but the various manufacturers will still have their own portals for manufacturer and device specific stuff. Personally I'd prefer it if the SF members could just have their own area to post resources on the SF developer site and we could keep everything in one place.

@Mark: Yes, I agree with SF being the central place for developers. It would be a huge task, though, to merge existing forums into one - if that's an option at all. Perhaps a sophisticated search tool could find anything in existing discussion boards + in the new one maintained by SF. In addition, I also prefer that option that manufacturers would have their own area (rather than portals) under SF's.

I agree with you.
It'd be really a cool to gather all the scatered resources to SF platform.
