A team at ST Ericcson, and ARM have the operating system now running on a highly capable SMP (Symmetric Multiprocessing) configuration.
The hardware platform is up and running with all interfaces working, including CPU, caches, trace, dual display, memory controller, power management units, modem and RF. The SMP version of Symbian, with what is the same code base that has been checked in to the Foundation source code repository, runs on the dual core, and they have validated the L1 and L2 caches as well as cache coherency and synchronization between the 2 cores.
Kool video from SF ..seeing all the creature alive and kicking

o Video and Imaging accelerator

Lee Williams said that multi-core handset can accommodate features such as high-definition video and hardware accelerated 3D Graphics supporting OpenGL.
Symbian said it intended to support the Cortex-A9 MPCore architecture when it was announced in 2007, but that multiple core processing is only likely to be used when required, to preserve battery life on handsets.

Qt 4.5 will be the first Qt release to be offered under a more open LGPL ("Lesser" or "Library" General Public License) licensing option, alongside existing commercial and GPL license options.
Qt Software sums it up best when it says that Qt developers "can now build their proprietary applications on top of Qt without paying a licensing fee."
What's new in Qt 4.5
To show developers just how much faster they are supposedly tuning their applications, the company has provided a new "QtBenchLib" performance benchmarking library. Various benchmarks from the library are shown in the following charts.
Raster drawing benchmarks (Source: Qt Software)
Mass updates and moves benchmarks. (Source: Qt Software)
Drawing images benchmark (Source: Qt Software)
These are just few.For more details http://www.qtsoftware.com/
This result suggest that we can excpet more good features from the upcoming release of Qt for S60.Just keep finger crossed
