Though, I may not be attending Nokia World in London tomorrow, I am quite looking forward to the event like thousands of enthusiastic developers and million others. There are quite a few announcements that generally snap out of this event - New devices; services and offerings; plans for the upcoming year and so on. Many techblogs have written what kind of announcements we can expect tomorrow.
These are few things I wish to see:
1. Announcements surrounding the new Meego device that is expected to ship late this year. Meego is expected to Nokia's trump card in the super-smart phone category. You can read about them more here.
2. We know Nokia has been looking at tablets (a Nokia Tablet PC was introduced last year; running Windows 7). This time I think a Meego tablet would peep its head out. We saw this some months back.
3. Opening of Ovi maps to developers. Ovi maps SDK has been in private beta for quite some time. I really want to dirty my hands with it.
4. Some other news subsidies and libraries that can make its developers' lives easier.
5. A talk from the new CEO of Nokia.
At the same time, we are also seeing a big change in Nokia's top layer management. A New CEO arrives soon and the Executive VP Anssi Vanjoki resigned from his post today { Read }. Now this spices up the excitement !
