Hi! A long time not posting. I was working ;-) Here is the first project I want to share with you. It's still in beta testing, and I'm opening to suggestions, critics, bugs, and other comments.
You can try it free at www.mobiletinyurl.com
Mobile Tiny URL is a URL shortener service optimized for mobile keypads. So, if you want to access forumnokia.mobi from your mobile phone, try to type ad.ag/wapdat instead. You'll save 36 keypresses!! Go and try it now in your mobile phone.
Ok, perhaps you won't remember this new URL, but it's for use having the address in front of you (like this post).
With the service you can:
Give it a try and share it with your friends!
More projects to share soon!

Hi! Thanks.
In Mobile Tiny URL, the QR codes are generated optionally because I think non-technical people still doesn't know what to do with them.
This URLs use only the first letters of the keypad without duplicating them, so it is the easiest way to type it in the numerical keypad.
I didn't remember your post ;-) This project borned because of one need. I need people to easy install a mobile content and I think this is a very easy way.

Yes, very convenient to both perfuse through the picture

And convenient.
One question, though: why forbid desktop usage by default?
Doesn't it go against converging webs?

Thanks for the feedback. I think that the project needs to make a difference from other URL shorteners services. This isn't another one. It's a mobile one. So, by default the URL works only in a mobile.
Statistics shown that more than 70% of the URL shortened by the service are mobile-specific websites or mobile content (JAR, SIS, etc.). But if you want to use them on desktop too, just click the checkbox. You can also use the "Remember my settings" too, so every URL you generate will be available from desktop if you want.
Shortening long URLs...

Hi,
It reminds me about my post I wrote some time ago (http://blogs.forum.nokia.com/blog/jacek-wojciechowskis-forum-nokia-blog/2007/05/08/shorten-your-long-urls). I've got a feeling that someone has done the homework right and read the comments section in mentioned post ;-)
In contrary to other services this one is really mobile oriented (e.g. generating of QR codes)!
