The N9 team is in the final stages of preparing an update to the Nokia N950 image, which will align the software more with the Nokia N9 product image.
To enable a smooth upgrade to the new image N950 users should ensure that they have the latest release of the firmware on their devices (34-2 or Beta2) - SSU will fail with Beta1. So, if you have not done it already, update to Beta2 now using the OneClickFlashers.
For more information about upgrading from Beta1 to Beta2 please also check out this webpage.
Note:
Some users have reported problems with this update, this can be solved in some cases using the instruction given on this web page. Naturally, these need to be slightly adapted for the 39-5 release, but otherwise the approach may help.

I'm still holding my breath!!
Should we expect an image to flash or an OTA?
Thanks though!

Hi all,
Well we are (metaphorically) holding our breath for this one. It will be available OTA if you have Beta2 - hence the "Prepare". It will also be available in OneClickFlashers too.

So which weekly build will this firmware be based on? The current N950 Beta 2 firmware is based on week 34 build, whereas the firmware of N9 as sold in Singapore/Malaysia are also having week 34 build. Will we get similar update on N9 too?
Also, considering the fact that N9 will be on sale in China, will we get Chinese user interface and input methods in this update too? There was Chinese UI in Beta 1 but it was taken away in Beta 2....

After a lenghty upgrade process my N950 rebooted and now only displays the Nokia logo. I tried to restart the device several times (pressing the power botton for about 10″) but nothing happens. If I connect it to the PC and make a restart it will launch the Nokia PC Suite but it will appear: N950: connected in a non compatible mode.
Any advice/suggestion?
