The newest Qt SDK update contains an updated version of the Harmattan target. Details about the release are available in the release notes.
The biggest piece of news regarding this update is that the target is no longer considered experimental. It is now installed by default, and you no longer have to perform a custom install.
The other very visible change is the evolution to a single unified sysroot. From now on there is no tools-level distinction between the Platform API and its more productized subset. Now there's just a single target (with debug and release flavours of the build).
This change may impact existing projects. Please contact us if the following steps do not help in enabling you to use the projects as-is:
And do please let us know if you encounter further issues or tricks in migrating to the updated SDK.
Plenty of bugs have been squished with the updated target, and some existing ones have improved workarounds as explained in the release notes.
The developer documentation has been significantly updated. You can view it within the SDK, or browse the even-more-up-to-date instance in the online Developer Library.
Do note that the current version of the Qt SDK does not support Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot.
Happy hacking!
