Now you can create Symbian S60 plug-ins and make them available to Java applications, web apps (Web Runtime widgets), and Adobe Flash Lite content. The APIBridge component, recently published by Forum Nokia, provides this developer functionality in a plug-in mechanism.
The APIBridge component package includes all software and tools developers will need to create plug-ins with features available on Symbian S60 3rd Edition and S60 5th Edition devices. Also, several plug-ins are provided that can be used by developers of Java applications, web apps, and Adobe Flash Lite content. The plug-ins provide a long list of features that include: uploading files; capturing video, image, and audio; and sending DTMF tones in an active call.
Also, three wiki articles provide information on how to use the plug-ins included in the package and create .SIS files that enable applications and APIBridge to be installed together in one step.
Download the APIBridge component now.
