Nokia recently unveiled the
Nokia C5, an affordable smartphone optimized for social networking and information-sharing. Based on S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2, the Nokia C5 displays favourite contacts on the homescreen and offers Facebook status updates from the phonebook. Access to social-networking sites, such as Facebook and MySpace, is fast and easy. And both instant messaging and e-mail accounts from Ovi Mail and other e-mail providers are available on the device through Nokia Messaging.
Other features of the new Nokia C5 include: a 3.2-megapixel FullFocus camera with 4x digital zoom; 2 gigabytes of memory card storage (expandable to 16 GB); playback of videos, music, and graphics; integrated A-GPS and Ovi Maps 3.0 with free walk and drive navigation; Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR; USB 2.0 High Speed connectivity and USB charging; and fast web browsing, allowing easy access to favourite Internet sites, Ovi Music, and a range of applications through Ovi Store. The Nokia C5 will begin shipping in the second quarter, and it will retail for 135 euros.
