The winners of the Nokia Case Competition at MIT Sloan School of Management have been announced. In all, 33 students arranged into 11 teams competed to create the best solution for Nokia’s cloud computing platform as a service (PaaS). Three of the teams made it to the finals; they presented their solutions to an audience of Nokia representatives, students, family, and friends. In the end, the winning team was the one that presented solutions to increase Nokia’s market share in cities within emerging countries. One of their winning ideas was Ovi Shopping, a customized shopping experience that uses the ‘wisdom of the crowd’ and personalization. Members of the winning team -- Natalia Sutin, Vikram Anreddy, and Mayank Kapoor -- were each awarded Nokia N8 and Nokia C7 devices.
