The newly released Qt SDK 1.1 Tech Preview supports Qt Quick, a UI technology that enables developers and UI designers to work together and create animated, touch-enabled UIs and applications easily. The technology and tooling makes for such quick development, we thought we'd have a quick competition.
For your chance to win one of several new Nokia E7-00 devices (see the device specs page), you have about six weeks to create a new Forum Nokia Project or new Forum Nokia Wiki article (with code). This should be more than enough time to do something amazing, because:

Now that Qt has been dumped, Is this still valid?

I hope this phone is going to start the next wave for nokia and the best competitor for much hyped google android which is going to be get defeated by this wonderful platform

I posted this in response to the first two responders, who I believe have got their facts muddled up. Qt isn't going to be deserted by Nokia, it will be used for further devlpmt of Symbian apps.
Where Qt is not going to be used is where Nokia will collaborate with Microsoft and bring out a phone with W7. So although Qt won't be supported for W7 (as Microsoft is going to give its own set o' tools and frameworks for that) Qt will used for development on the Symbian platform.

Qt/QML is the primary development framework for Symbian platform, with 150 million more devices to be shipped. As well as for coming MeeGo device. It will also be used for other purposes (other activities and industries), so it is neither dumped or going away.
I can understand frustration the announcement has caused (and certainly I would have rather seen Qt/QML embraced a lot in the Friday announcements), but let’s show what wonderful stuff Qt/QML can deliver. It is still very much in the Nokia portfolio, and you can do great stuff with it. So let’s show the markets what wonderful experiences we can deliver with Qt/QML.
So this competition is still very much valid. Looking forward to your great contributions!

Nokia always promoted Qt saying "Qt is Everywhere".
Now it is a bit difficult to digest saying they themselves are not going to support in their future WP7 devices.
And no where in the statements its made clear that Qt is going to be there and so is Symbian and Meego platforms to co-exist with WP7. The 150 million devices would be shipped because they need to run business till WP7 device is ready to hit market.
And then its easy to announce that developers should shift to WP7 platform.

"Qt is dead meat now... :("
you are totally wrong! Qt will not die! its used everywhere not even Microsoft can kill it even if they want too.
Now its time too fight back and make cool QtQuick apps :-)
