Nokia recently announced the Nokia 6303i classic, a Series 40 6th Edition device that follows in the footsteps of the Nokia 6303 classic. The design features stainless-steel covers, and an intuitive UI makes all key features easy to find. Photographs taken with the new device's 3.2 megapixel, full focus (EDOF) camera with dual LED flash can be displayed on the 2.2-inch (240 x 320) screen, and e-mail and instant messaging are available through Nokia Messaging 2.0.
The extended battery life delivers up to eight hours of talk time, 21 days of standby, or 30 hours of music playback.
Other features include the WebKit Open Source Browser, Ovi Store and Ovi Share, Nokia Maps 2.0, FM RDS Stereo Radio, Flash Lite 3.0, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, and MIDP Java 2.1 with additional Java APIs.
Shipments of the Nokia 6303i classic will start in the first quarter, and the device will retail for 105 euros.

Between 21 January and 3 February, there were more than 1.4 million downloads of Nokia’s new version of Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation. During that first week, the top five countries downloading the new version of Ovi Maps were: China, Italy, the U.K., Germany, and Spain. The five most popular Nokia devices installing the download were: the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia N97, Nokia 5230, and Nokia E72.
Several developers publishing on Ovi Store have enjoyed big successes, too. Nimbuzz, a social-networking client, has been downloaded from Ovi Store more than 1 million times in 180 countries; the service now has more than 15 million registered users worldwide across all mobile platforms. Another app, Handy, which helps users locate and connect to Wi-Fi hotspots, has been downloaded more than 475,000 times by users in nearly 200 countries.
