WorldMate has been a huge success for several years supporting the mobile community with travel information, weather forecasts, and flight alerts. For the frequent traveler, it has become a standard tool of travel, a fact that is indicated by its support of 20 different languages.

With WorldMate 2009 for Symbian, the application has taken a step further onto the touchscreen of the Nokia N97 and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, as well as on Nokia Symbian (S60 3.1) devices such as the Nokia E71 and Nokia N95.

Like its predecessors, WorldMate 2009 comes in both a free version and a premium (Gold) version, which is priced at $49.99.
The standard (free) version of WorldMate 2009 includes features such as:
• Weather forecasts for over 1,000 cities across the globe
• Weathercaster voice-animated weather service
• World Clocks
• Currency Converter and online exchange rates
• World Day/Night Map
The Gold version adds these key features for the business traveler:
• Flight Status for more than 175 airlines
• Real-time Alerts for flight delays or cancellations
• Flight Schedules for over 800 airlines
• Satellite Weather Imagery
New features include real-time flight alerts, which instantly let the traveler know when his or her travel schedule has changed. When a traveler’s flight is cancelled or delayed, WorldMate 2009 Gold pushes an alert directly to the mobile device. This gives the traveler a leg up on other passengers in situations like a delayed or missed flight, where re-booking or gate movement may be involved.
The heart of the system is the new home screen or "Dashboard". It gives the traveler some of the key information needed at a glance, including the current location, date, weather and the status of an upcoming flight. Using the carousel at the bottom of the screen the traveler can reach all other services, including World Clocks, Currency Conversion and Currency Rates, real-time Flight Status, comprehensive worldwide Flight Schedules, and the Flight Alerts service.

"The review of WorldMate 2009 on the Ovi Store daily app really gave us good exposure", said Ze’ev Rosenstein, CEO of WorldMate. "Being on the top results of our category for months in a row gives the best awareness and exposure a developer can have."
