The newly upgraded Nimbuzz mobile app for Nokia Symbian devices, a social networking client with more than 10 million registered users across all mobile platforms, with over 600,000 downloads from Ovi Store integrates a complete range of popular voice and text messaging services and networking protocols into a single interface.
The Netherlands-based developers of Nimbuzz say they wanted to help users unify their social networking experience, providing simple, simultaneous access to friends and contacts across various networks.

What is more, according to influential reviewer Om Malik of GigaOm, the free Nimbuzz client features a proprietary calling service, NimbuzzOut, that offers very attractive long-distance calling prices, with voice quality comparable to that of the market-leading Skype. Users still have the option of using their existing SkypeOut or other VoIP service, says Malik, but may well decide to stick with the Nimbuzz service.
This voice and messaging Swiss Army knife features GPS and cell location sharing, 2G, 3G and Wi-Fi networking capabilities, speakers and microphone streams, and the popular kinetic scrolling feature, which enables the user to search through long lists quickly with the flick of a finger on the screen.
The unified app enables simultaneous access to Yahoo, Facebook, Windows Live, GoogleTalk, and much more, along with a free, multimedia-messaging service and chat rooms. The rich interface includes such features as pop-up notifications and chat history.

And now Nimbuzz even supplies a full-scale Twitter app (shown above), with full tweet, retweet, follow, and other Twitter functionality, according to lead developer Anthony van de Veen.
"Nimbuzz is by far our most sophisticated client, and with the integration of Twitter is the only product available to offer users such a comprehensive range of features and such a complete communications experience," says van de Veen.
