Snaptu: Apps for All at This One-Stop Shop

Snaptu Ltd, located in the United Kingdom, might have developed one of the tiniest apps, at a size of 115K, but it is one of the mightiest. Harnessing virtual cloud technology, Snaptu is an all-in-one app that meets the majority of a user's mobile Internet, social networking and gaming needs. To top it all off, Snaptu is one of Ovi Store's superstars with over 4.2 million downloads from more than 190 countries.

Depending on the level of sophistication and resources, a typical cloud-based app can take as quickly as three days or at most two months to create and launch. Apps range from social networking, like Twitter and Facebook; to Flickr, to informative, like news, weather, and sports, to entertainment such as movies and Sudoku, plus tons of stuff in between. Because virtual apps are located on Snaptu Ltd's servers and a user only needs to download a single app to access them, a mobile device has more free memory available to run at full performance speeds. This also enables users of low-end devices to access the same apps as those with high-end devices without having to worry about memory or battery life. Snaptu users also experience faster speeds when using cloud-based apps than when accessing information from their mobile Internet browsers.
