Finally, PyS60 1.9.3 - now updated to Python core 2.5.4, one of the dot releases in the 1.9.x series has been announced less than an hour ago!
Here is the list of improvements and what a list!
I believe that the above concrete list of enhancement in the PyS60 version is a Big leap forward towards 2.0
Long live PyS60!

Unfortunately - you need to download the following archive from the link mentioned,
PythonForS60_1.9.3.tar
...and in it is the SIS file!

First PyS60 Touch Application Add Python for S60 1.9.3 was the first release to support touch events. In order to give us an idea of how touch detection is.Really nice release once more!

Yes, those improvements are significant. It's good that there is now a standard way to check for touch support; I remember there was at least one thread on the discussion boards about this.
All in all version 2.0 is shaping up to be one amazing package :D
