The third firmware update of Nokia N900, 3.2010.02-8 (PR 1.1.1), has been released already.

You have two choices for updating this:
1. Update Over the Air (OTA): just check for update and you will be mentioned about new update. The package size is about 16.2 MB
2. Manual Flash: Downloaded firmware image from http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php and flashed it yourself using Maemo Flasher.
No any change log yet but newer version should be better than older version, right?
Update: One thing I found in new firmware is there are so many Regions were added, or Nokia is going to release it worldwide soon? :o

What about USSD? Its able to send them now?

Not yet, truf. But you can download ussd-widget from Extras-Devel for that task.

Yea, I know. I just wonder, may be MAEMO team think this is not important feature?
Maemo OS have USSD support - it can be send with AT command from terminal window. And as i hear USSD bug is closed as fixed on maemo website. But bugfix was not included in PR 1.1 they say what that feature will be enabeled only in PR 1.2.

I'm waiting for that also since I found that the bug was fixed quite for a while. I'm a bit wonder why they didn't publish it as firmware update also.
Hope it comes with next firmware update. :)

This is overdue, what of Nigeria?

The operating system is the big difference with the N900 running Maemo 5 and N97 uses the Symbian operating system that is so old. It's just my opinion...

26. Nice to have information like this where we can follow the directions and update our Nokia. Here, the latest update was about the Nokia N900's new firmware 3.2010. 02-8. They have given two choices from which we could opt for whichever was most suitable for us so there wouldn't be any confusion!! Think it was well accepted since they had added a lot of regions this time - the only question is whether it would be available worldwide!!
