Contribute to the community – get recognized!

Nokia recognizes and supports the most active members of the Nokia Developer Champions community. Your contributions to the community will increase your knowledge, build your reputation as a domain expert, and gain recognition among peers.

Here are the details of how Champion points are awarded.

FIELD CONTRIBUTIONS

Meetup:
Organize a local community meet-up with Nokia's support(at least 30 participants required).

Speech:
Give a speech about development, Nokia technologies, or Nokia platforms at a Nokia or 3rd-party event.

Webinar:
Organize a webinar with Nokia's support covering development for Nokia platforms or Nokia technologies.

Contribute to a training event:
Assist the local Nokia team at a Nokia training event.
Note: local Nokia team needs to verify achievement before points are awarded.

PUBLISHED APPLICATIONS from the companies you work with

POINTS

Publish an app to Windows Phone Store or Nokia Store (for Series 40 platform) through your own publisher account or through the company you work/develop for.
Note: No more than three apps from the same publisher will count toward your point total.

ONLINE COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Monthly Top Contributor:
Top community contributors of the month are selected based on activities in Wiki/Discussion Board/Projects/Blogs (up to 5 champions every month).
Note: The Community Managers will be monitoring the quality of contributions on the forum. The Nokia Developer Champion Team will inform you of your achievement and you’ll be able to add your points on the Champions Service Portal.

Nominate a Champion

Nominate an existing Nokia developer who then gets selected into the Champions program based on your recommendation.

How to report Champion points

Points must to be registered no later than 30 days after the date of your activity. Any points reported after the deadline will not be approved.

To earn points, you need to report your activity (for example, community contributions) by using the reporting tool in the Champions Service Portal. The reporting tool shows you the number of points you are likely to earn. Note: In some cases, we need to verify the contribution and results. Nokia reserves the right to decide if the reported points are valid or not.

Getting your rewards

Once the Nokia Developer Champions Team approves the submitted achievements, Champions will be able to redeem their points for the following Nokia phones and accessories, subject to availability:

  • Nokia Lumia 820 / 500 points
  • Nokia Lumia 900 / 350 points
  • Nokia Lumia 620 / 300 points
  • Nokia Asha 311 / 300 points

Mobile Accessories (subject to change):

  • Monster Purity Headset / 200 points
  • MD-50W Nokia Play 360°Wireless Speaker / 150 points
  • Nokia J headset / 100 points
  • BT Stereo Headset BH-221 / 120 points
  • Universal USB Charger DC-16 / 50 points

We may occasionally offer other prizes, so keep an eye out.
