signing freeware with extended capabilities
Hi,
my freeware need the ReadDeviceData capabilities but to have that I need a 'valid ACS Publisher ID' which cost $350 ! is that correct ? thus the signing process for freeware is not .. free if you need extended capabilities ...
Thanks for any answer,
Domi.

No. You won't require your own ACS publisher Id for that.
Publisher Certifier will use their ACS Publisher ID on behalf of you.

Re: signing freeware with extended capabilities
Hi Domi, I think you better post a query regarding your issues on SDN Form, you've a separate section for Symbian Signed there, hopefully you'll get a prompt reply from there: SDN - Symbian Signed.

Re: signing freeware with extended capabilities
yes, of course, freeware can have as more capabilities as Symbian Signed application BUT as said previously, you need a ACS publisher ID ($350) and it precisely on this point that I must know if it's correct or not ...
PS: thanks vin2ktals, I have posted my question on symbian.com forum too ... hope they can help me ....
