Access point priority

Hi,
I currently own an E51, I would like to set up a virtual access point which is actually a prioritized list of access points. I know it can be done with the E61 (but it only works the the email app there), and there were a program called "SmartConnect" which did the job, but it is now discontinued. Do you have suggestions? Basically my goal is to set up the mail app to check for new email every 20 minutes, using this virtual IAP, so that when i'm in the range of my home wifi router it uses it, otherwise it should use a 3g connection.

Actually I'm now tasked with implementing this. Any hints, pointers?
Mainly what I have to accomplish is to be a gateway between 2 applications.
For example user selects my virtual IAP in his Browser and then my application is providing the data - no outward connection, no additional costs.
(This is just an example - real need is something else.)

You need to implement a Network Destination (also called SNAP). This is supported from S60 3.2 onwards, but I believe it is not possibile using public SDK.
