can vlc is installable in n900.I have tried with pat-get install vlc.But it shows error Couldn't find package vlc.Is there any other possibility of installing it.

Rémi Denis-Courmont has ported VLC to Maemo 5:

However, it's reported to be slow as it doesn't use N900's DSP.
