ovi Billing - Free to 1 euro
Dear Nokia
Lets suppose that i am uploading a FREE content item (java game) for QA, the content item passes QA and it is published. Users after that will download it for free.
After that can i change the Billing info of this content item and instead of free to charge it (for example) 1 euro? Is this possible?
Thanks
Nikos
Re: ovi Billing - Free to 1 euro
Hi Nikos,
Yes, that is possible. After the free content passes QA and is published, the publisher can change their content and files anytime (ie. changing the price point of the content to 1 Euro). However, once changed, it will need to be resubmitted to QA for review.

Re: ovi Billing - Free to 1 euro
Hi Becca, as I'm not official Ovi support here I'm not remembering stuff too well, anyway, was there some rules on how often the price can be changed ?, sort of remembering on seeing some stuff on the publicer guide thing, and it might be good to be disclosed same time, so there wouldn't be any issues later on with developers reading this particular post.
Re: ovi Billing - Free to 1 euro
Hi Symbianyucca,
You are correct. Publishers are able to change the price point of a product (maximum once a month)and they can refer to page 39 of the publisher guide for this. However, there isn't a strict enforcement on it.
Re: ovi Billing - Free to 1 euro
Are the apps available for non-Nokia devices too, seen that a lot of other brands run Symbian software?
Re: ovi Billing - Free to 1 euro
While the applications may very well work on other manufacturer's devices as well, the Ovi Store only serves Nokia devices.
You can likely find the same applications in other stores, be they owned by the respective device manufacturers, by ISV on their own web sites or by content aggregators.
