Error while packaging with Helisso

Hi,

It is strange. After almost a month of acquaintance with Helisso, I get the error as quoted by elshorbagy76 in the discussion [URL="http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/forum/showthread.php?p=723864"]I cannot create a sis file[/URL].

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "Wrap.py", line 15, in <module>
File "python_wrap.pyc", line 10, in <module>
File "ensymble\cmd_swf2sis.pyc", line 408, in run
NameError: global name 'srcfile' is not defined

This continues even after a reinstallation.

Hi,

Just to update people who are facing or might face a similar issue, this seemed really strange and haunting why suddenly Helisso stopped working. But by simply picking the swf from the same folder as the installed packager fixed everything.

This problem may occurs due to this feature :

So, what if u r pointing to a Main.swf placed in the a folder having bunch of subfolders or system files. The solution is to place the swf in a folder having a single swf file i.e Main.swf before selecting it from Helisso Packager.

Since Windows Mobile is coming to Nokia, I thought of packaging my application swf to a cab and check on any Windows Mobile emulator. How is that possible? I tried using 'Helisso', but the tool goes to an infinite loading on conversion.

Hi Supriyaakg,
Windows Phone is coming to Nokia not Windows Mobile. If i am not mistaken Windows Phone 7 is not compatible with Windows Mobile 6.x binaries. Additionally, Flash is not supported in Windows Phone yet. So, i think we have to wait and see or simply,switch to silverlight to create apps for Windows Phone 7.
