Upgrading Forum with Voting System ?

Hi,
I have been noticing on many Development Forums that the implementation of a voting system for posts/answers is becoming pretty standard not to mention very handy...
Members can receive a vote or points for usefull answers, this stimulates people with knowledge to give more precise and sensible answers and also cuts the chatter when spam-posts are given a bad vote, which refelcts on the user right away...
The median of all the votes (let's say 1 to 5 stars, with 1 star meaning the user would have done better not to post at all and 5 stars the user gave an answer which actually solved the topic starters problem AND solved global warming AND saved the polar bears) is always visible right beside the user's avatar...
This obviously is just an idea on how to make this forum even a better place to be in, and, imho, it will also motivate members more to give answers with real content...
I gladly hear what you guys think about this,
and I apologize if this Thread has been placed in the wrong sub-Forum ???

Exactly that one Ron ;)
But a little more obvious, to say the truth I never noticed it, maybe because of the many options/menu's...
And looking at the amount of usage of the feature I might not be the only one actually... I haven't seen a rated topic in the Java Forum since I'm here...
Anyways thanks for the heads-up, I'll try to make use of it...
Is the rating coupled to a post, a Thread or a user ?

Wow for some reason it was turned off for the Java Forums. I've corrected this At this time it only rates threads. The future will rate users as well as individual posts.
