I guess some developers may prefer using Carbide C++ when developing their applications. Is the application compatible no matter what method they are using?

Hi Carol,

The same compilers and APIs will be used regardless whether you use the above described Carbide.c++ setup or the Nokia Qt SDK. As a result, you will obtain the same binaries, the same application.
What is different is the developer experience. Nokia Qt SDK is built around the KISS principle. It is easy to setup (one download has it all) yet flexible (no need to download the big package, only install what you need with an online installer). It has a lightweight IDE and and even more lightweight simulator.

Hi, I had downloaded and installed in my pc.
1) "qt-symbian-opensource-4.6.2"
2) "qt-sdk-win-opensource-2010.02.1"

Now please tell me is it necessary to install these both QT softwares. And which IDE is used in QT. is qt creator is used as IDE.

That means there is no need of installing "qt-symbian-opensource-4.6.2" and what is it ??

And how we see simulator in QT.

Yes, If you install Nokia Qt SDK, then here is no need for you to install "qt-symbian-opensource-4.6.2". It includes the Symbian SDK as well.

There will be multiple project configurations in Qt creator, where in you can use Qt Simulator for your development. Its simple and easy to run.

If you want any additional api's, then you can go for Qt Mobility V 1.0
