Re: 5800 XpressMusic showing different dimensions
Hi Dave,
Let me try to recap:
1. Device central has the screen size of the 5800 set so that it always expects the virtual keypad
2. You manually set the stage size to 360 x 640 and add fscommand2 to disable the keypad compatibility mode and set to fullscreen
3. The app is still 360 x 452?
Cheers

Re: 5800 XpressMusic showing different dimensions
Hello Riku,
Yes; the application relies upon the device/Device Central to tell it what screen resolution it's playing on, so it knows which frames to display, SoftKey positioning, etc. I do not set the Stage's width/height manually (although I wonder if I could; I'll see if I can somehow write it instead of read it).
Until now all devices had been successfully detected by Stage's width and height, but now the 5800 returns a height of 452 and displays the grey bars above and below the app.

Re: 5800 XpressMusic showing different dimensions
Hi,
we have decided to provide you with workaround profiles for CS4 where full screen size will be changed to 320x640 (640x320 in landscape) even though "DisableKeypadCompatibilityMode" fscommand2 is not supported in Device Central.
For CS5, as already suggested, please create custom profiles if required, there we would like to maintain the fullscreen size which you get when only fscommand2 "FullScreen" without "DisableKeypadCompatibilityMode" is used.
You will be informed via this forum and Twitter (@devicecentral), when you are able to access the updated profiles in the Online Device Library.
This presently applies to 5800, X6 profiles - do let us know if any more.
Hope that this solution will be helpful for you
Thanks,
Nandi
Re: 5800 XpressMusic showing different dimensions
Ciao Nandi,
thanks for the information.
It would be great if it applies to any Nokia 5th Edition with 360x640 resolution like 5530, 5230, N97, N97 Mini.

Thank You Alessandro, noted. Can't find the 5230 though, checked the 5320 but it doesnt seem to be affected, so let us know if you meant another profile
Thanks,

Re: 5800 XpressMusic showing different dimensions
Our pleasure Alessandro :)
We are happy to get feedback and to be able to help. Do keep us informed, we'll help here we can.
By the way, the 5530 did not need any changes, as it already had full fullscreen profiled
Thanks,
Nandi

Hi, I'm reopening this thread, as now C6 on DC CS4 again returns 360x452
Nandi - FYI. Thanks for your help.
