SymbianOS users reporting 100% bounce rate
Hey, am new here so hope this is the right forum..
I manage the website for a large online retailer in the UK.. We seem to be having problems with our mobile website on symbian based phones.
Our website is heavy on images, would this means that the site would not load on users phones.
Any advice you may have will be appreciated..
Re: SymbianOS users reporting 100% bounce rate
You could always check teh user agent and generate lighter version of teh page, or simply make a separate mobile version, and re-direct all mobile users on it.
Re: SymbianOS users reporting 100% bounce rate
We have created a seperate website for our mobile visitors that is lighter than our main site.
We are currently sending all mobile users to this new site.
Once there we are making sales from iphones/ipads/andriod etc.. Just any user on Symbian bounces straight off.
No-one in our office has a Symbian phone which is making testing really difficult, we have asked some friends to test and they are reporting error messages and lack of content.
The site loads perfectly on all other mobile phones, which is why we are finding the issue such a strange one.

maybe you could try accessing the page with RDA: http://www.forum.nokia.com/Devices/Remote_device_access/

Or maybe you could post the URL to your page, so someone here can try it and tell you what could be wrong with it?
