App icon in E7 - RDA
Hi,
I installed 2 applications(symbian apps) on E7, available on RDA. Both applications Installed successfully on E7. But i am not able to see application icon anywhere. Does rebooting device solve this problem?? if yes, then how do i reboot device?? Option to reboot device (Tools->Reboot Phone) is disabled in E7.
Thanks,
Kamlesh

I don't think reboot will solve the problem, check if is this happening in only E7 or some other device too.

I will reflash the device with the latest firmware later today. Try again after that and if the problem still persists let me know.

Re: App icon in E7 - RDA
bloodredsky: Thanks for quick reply. I will test application once device is latest firmware.
mekal2002: Both application are successfully tested on other symbian^3 devices. So this was the device specific (one which is present in RDA) issue.

the FW has been now updated, and rebooting is enabled as well.

Mekal,
sorry if I disagree. However, the icon cache has caused loads of problems for users in the past.
Whenever doing something icon related, a reboot IMHO is the way to go.

Tamhanna,
I agree with you, why i asked to test in other device was, to make sure that there is no problem with the application it self.
you are right that the app icon is cached and in subsequent flashed of same app the icon may not properly.
