failure cannor provision certificate database (-46)
Hi,
Could someone please tell me how to solve the error: "Failure. Cannot provision certificate database (-46)"?
I'm trying to test the signed version of an app ready for release. I checked the date and time and they're fine. I also tried uninstalling the certificate. Doesn't help.
Re: failure cannor provision certificate database (-46)
-46 often means that you don't have the required capabilities for executing the function you are trying to execute, thus when does this happen ?
Re: failure cannor provision certificate database (-46)
I'm trying to install the certificate I got with my UID for the app so I can test the release. The .sis file installs without a problem but after installation, when phone tries to start the app the error occures. The same error occures if I try to run it manually from installed apps. folder. This happens on all phones I have for testing, same thing happens on RDA phones also.
Any ideas?
I'm trying to install the certificate [...] The .sis file installs without a problem but after installation, when phone tries to start the app the error occures.
??? The certificate installer does not run/deploy any application as I know. And it either installs or not.
Are you trying to embed it perhaps? Do not do that.

No, maybe I used a wrong expression when explaining it. I received an UID3 and OviCertPublish_March25.sis file from the company that ordered an applicatoin from me. When I install that .sis file I get the error. After installnig that sis file, I get an icon with "Nokia R&D..." text in my installed applications folder. When I try to run that, I get the same error.
Is OviCertPublish_March25.sis tied to phone IMEI or something like that?

Thanks. That explains it.
