This reminds me of a situation at my first job while I was a student, in the nineties. They used flat text files and spreadsheets instead of proper databases and the code used to break all the time if the text wasn't formatted correctly or had interpunction. Needless to say, we had regular mini-meltdowns and an occasional big one. How bad was that code, how important the people who wrote it!

The problem is not in reports itself, but in sales drops they are accompanied by. It's a little frustrating, because last time when similar issue was observed I have a ~50% drop in sales because of invalid placement of my apps. Expecting sales drops again, and every single day of this issue costs me the money.

Yes, this is the problem. I have ~50% drop in sales last time this issue was observed, too.

Reports are not working for 12 days now. This can only mean two things:
a) the code is a hopeless spaghetti, the guy who hacked it left and now all they got is two incompetent wannabe-engineers who wouldn't spot a bug even if it was a two-inch long roach
b) they are taking their time to properly fix the root cause and carefully test par excellence to make absolutely sure this never happens again.
Take your pick. I am guessing a). It's probably similar case to what Ivan Litovski was taking about before - horribly broken code that assumes all kinds of things about various strings & variables, and if you dare to insert an unexpected character in the name of a product it goes belly up.

Hmm, reports do not work even after maintenance. By the way anyone knows if the problem with reports affect all developers in OVI store or just some of us?

This recurrent issue definitively demands more attention from top management at Nokia.
It is far beyond the occasional bug.
