Re: Microsoft and Nokia
I'm sure there are people here who know how to develop Windows Phone apps ;)
If you're asking how to get started with Windows Phone development, check this article: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/About_Windows_Phone (see especially the E-learning section).
You can't develop apps for Series 40 or S60 in Visual Studio (well, there is a Qt plugin for Visual Studio, but that's another story).
NOKIA and MICROSOFT make the anunciment about a new generation of smarthphones with Windows.
Exactly. Nokia and Microsoft announced that Nokia will manufacture mobile devices with Windows Phone platform on them...
I want to know if anybody knows about developing APP with Visual studio in S60 or series 40.
... however existing Nokia devices do not use this Microsoft technology and there is no support for developing software for them using Visual Studio.

Re: Microsoft and Nokia
I would say more like platform support has its limitation:

and known issues:

Re: Microsoft and Nokia
Hi there, and welcome to the discussion boards!
Indeed there are a lot of applications for Windows phones.
Here is a direct link to the Windows Phone Application Showcase : http://www.microsoft.com/emea/windowsmobileapps/
And here's the link to the Windows Marketplace : http://marketplace.windowsphone.com/Default.aspx
Here is a top list of 2010 apps: http://www.intomobile.com/2010/12/28/top-10-windows-phone-apps-of-2010/
And the amount of newly created apps projects show an clearly increasing trend, for example you can read something about that here:

Best Regards,
