Generic Web Apps

hi,

is it posible to build some generic web apps, both for S60 and S40 phones?
i mean only using javascript with no MWL or WRT specific libraries

You can also use libraries, but everything what you don't do with MWL will create a roundtrip.
And the screen resolution differs a lot... but basic stuff you can reuse.

I hope the round trip did not significantly affect the performance of the application on a Nokia X3-02

It will make the using of the app feel more like browsing a webpage than using an app.
