12 Character International Bank Code Limitation

I'm trying to fill the form "bank information" in my publisher account, and I have a question. A 12 character international bank code is being requested but in Kenya the banks that I have enquired from provide a code of 8 alphabeticals plus 3 integers. They claim that this is a SWIFT code. Will it work with Nokia publishing?
