Online reports statistics

Dear all,

On Facebook we're trying to understand if number of developers who experience decrease in sales is large enough and outperform those who (accidentally :D) have increase in the February month. Please, if you're part of the Facebook group (OVI developers) share your results. If not, post them here.

This is the current questions (answer decrease or increase)
- do you experience sharp (over 30%) decrease on 3-4 February?
- do you experience sharp (over 30%) decrease on 13-14 February?
- do you experience sharp (over 30%) decrease on 23-24 February?

We do it on Facebook as well. It's just not all developers are there.

You're are right, I'm not Nokia representative or any "official" person. The goal of this research is to find out if there is a sufficient number of developers experience the same problems with online reports in order to initiate an "official" research at Nokia.

Just to clarify, I'm not forcing anyone to share their personal information, just to post if he/she experience problem with reports or not. It's in interest of every developer to have the proper statistics for online reports. But this issue won't be considered if there are just 1-2 developers with above mentioned problem

Don't think so, the values for this period seems average.

Yes. I observe significant drop last 5 days or so. However, this may be somehow related to money processing, because I received remittance advice this morning.

What is really interesting, the difference is almost twice in Reports and Reports (Beta) for several content items. For example there are purchases stats for some of them (Beta Reports numbers are in parentheses):

Content item 190039: 24.02 - 37 (63), 25.02 - 48 (72), 26.02 - 62 (87), 27.02 - 37 (69), 28.02 - 35 (79)
Content item 210873: 24.02 - 41 (63), 25.02 - 42 (74), 26.02 - 27 (46), 27.02 - 25 (39), 28.02 - 27 (59)
Content item 68870: 24.02 - 27 (61), 25.02 - 102 (132), 26.02 - 35 (65), 27.02 - 36 (75), 28.02 - 57 (82)

Interesting, isn't it? Why are such big differences in numbers? Andrew, can you please take a look on these stats? It seems that certainly something going wrong with this.

P.S. Regarding pippo2010's question about sales drops, there are additionally some purchase numbers during this week in comparison with previous week, for example, for content item 210873:

23.02 - 45, 24.02 - 41, 25.02 - 42, 26.02 - 27, 27.02 - 25, 28.02 - 27
17.02 - 95, 18.02 - 82, 19.02 - 88, 20.02 - 65, 21.02 - 88, 22.02 - 75

So I have a 50% drop last week, not even 30%.

lostdev , wow, thanks for sharing this very interesting info. It seems that data in original reports is not catching up with Beta Reports. Sadly Andrew on vacations till March 18, so I'll move inquiry with Ben, who temporally taking Andrew's place. I wonder when Beta Reports become stable :) Do they offer any additional interesting features compared to current one (obviously you bound by some agreement, so just a general info that do not break it would be highly appreciated)? Thanks a lot

what is Beta Reports? I know about only one Reporting tool for Ovi publishers :-P

_midu_, there is upcoming (hopefully) new version of Online Reports that are in Beta testing stage now (quite long I have to admit). We all hope see them soon as current version of Online Reports are constantly broken

Yes, I have drop on the last week too.
No decrease in sales nor 3-4, nor 13-14 feb.

How do you get access to a beta reports? Is this beta open?

DreadDog, unfortunately you cannot get access to those reports, it's a closed beta testing

On 3-4 I don't see much of a change. On 13th its 50% for one of my apps, and on 23rd for one of my apps sales has reduced to 30%

New information from Facebook group:
"So it seems as though there have been many fluctuation issues with the reports in February, which are currently being investigated. There have been delays in the data being populated in the reports causing the results to be lower than normal. I will follow up when I hear more information. Regards"
