Themes for s40: radio, chat, mail, maps icons
This is my first post ever. I have read various threads about changing icons, and I believe we should focus more on this issue.
So far, carbide includes options for changing pretty much everything, but this icons are always annoying.
Is there an "official" way to change this icons?
This is a serious issue, as when you try to sell a theme, you have to provide a product of excellent quality, just like Nokia does. So far I have only designed themes for personal use for newer touch and type UI, and some free themes for the white text UI, but those icons are always present in critics.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Themes for s40: radio, chat, mail, maps icons
I was just testing a theme in rda and I AGREE!
Only VERY FEW icons are skinned on s40 devices unlike symbian ones.
Is the a way to do it manually or what?
Re: Themes for s40: radio, chat, mail, maps icons
When you read over the internet there seem to be many ways, one of them, editing your ppm. That's not only risky, but only changes the icons on your phone. Since the s40 series is the most used, it should have attention on it.
I read on other threads, that you can also moddify them by going onto the third party icons and searching for the UID, but there is no way to do this in carbide.ui. And also, there is no way to know the UID without messing with the ppm and other internal stuff. I wish there is one way to do this "legally".
