How to get the proper emulator for nokia xpress 5800?
Hi
I'm new in J2ME .. I downloaded JDK 1.7 , NetBeans 7.2 and SDK 3.0.5
my question is if they're adequate for developing in J2ME on nokia xpress 5800 emulator , how can I browse the available emulators using netbeans 7.2 and to choose it ?
if not , what do I have to download to get the emualtor I want ?
through my search ..I get that I should install s60 5th edition sdk but because of its big size I wanna make sure that sdk 3.0.5 is enough or not .
Thanks

I am not sure what "SDK 3.0.5" could be, but for the 5800, you should consider developing with the S60 5th edition SDK, available from http://www.developer.nokia.com/info/sw.nokia.com/id/ec866fab-4b76-49f6-b5a5-af0631419e9c/S60_All_in_One_SDKs.html (note that you will have to select it from the drop-list, the default selection is not good for the 5800). Read its release notes file too, it will tell if there are restrictions about the JDK and NetBeans versions you can use.

Hi
With JDK 1.7 , NetBeans 7.2 and SDK 3.0.5 you can use CLDC Oracle platform emulator. Except some APIs, perhaps you don't want to use, Nokia Symbian java is complaint with common J2ME profiles , just don't use API that is not supported by xpress 5800
Additionally installing Nokia SDK 2.0 for Java into your development environment will not harm you either, but you cannot use emulator since that is without choice Fulltouch Asha 30X device.
