How to add privacy policy in symbian app
Hello every one,
I need to know, how to add privacy policy in my symbian c++ app so that my content is able to approve QA procees on Nokia publisher store.
My app is using GPS location data & asking some personal data of end user like name, email id & phone number. Please reply as soon as possible.
I am getting this error from the publisher store:
Dear Publisher,
Thank you for submitting "app name". Unfortunately the content item and or file did not pass the Nokia Store quality assurance (QA) review process.
Comments from the QA team:
Failed QA.
SUMMARY: The application does not display a Privacy Policy after first launch of the application, or in the Main Menu. Applications instrumented with Analytics must display a privacy policy with regards to data collection and analytics usage.
CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: Please create a privacy policy and display it either as a prompt, splash screen, or as an option/link in the Main Menu. After displaying the privacy policy as a prompt or splash screen, the privacy policy must always be accessible somewhere within the application.
NOTE: An OPT-OUT / Disable Analytics option must also be implemented.

Re: How to add privacy policy in symbian app
You have to display a text stating that the application this and that kind of sensitive data and for what purpose, if it is going to be submitted to somewhere, it is shared with anyone else, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Privacy_policy
