How if I dont have a s40 device and want to test .wgt file . I have packaged a web application into a .wgt file . But after installing on RDA device . it says "file format not supported " an has a "?" mark on the app intsalled.


But I have tested on the simulator it works perfectly on it.

Testing on RDA is performed by navigating to short URL of the Web App using Xpress browser. Web Apps .wgt package is not meant for device installation, only for uploading to store in publish phase.

To enable short URL:
Right click on project -> select deployment settings -> select "No device selected"
Now you will see the short URL, which you need to type in to browser.

Thank u very much isalento for your valuable solution. It says File format not supported when I try to play video in my application with the browser as u said on RDA.

But my application woks on RDA like ASHA 311 etc.
