Images not showing on Asha devices (and maybe others) for s40 web app

We are having trouble getting the app to display properly on the Asha devices. Everything works well in the simulator and even the ‘cloud preview’, but on the actual device none of the images display.

We have tried including the images in the project as well as using URLs as the IMG source. We have tried .jpg and .png. Images load fine when the app loads web pages containing images...

Any help appreciated!

it did happen to me before on X2 and X3 devices... if you have photoshop, try to "Save for web & Devices" (Alt+shift+ctrl+S) save to png or jpg

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't make any difference. I tried a variety of formats within the Photoshop "Save for web & devices" option (png 24, png 8, jpg, png 8 with no transparency).

Any more ideas?
