Re: Where can i download Nokia Active Server?
What is the Nokia Active server, and if you did not find any reference to it, where did you find out that there would be a such application available ?
Re: Where can i download Nokia Active Server?
okay,i am using nokia mobile internet toolkit which just uses simulators to test how the app will work if deployed in the wireless enviroment.i am using push technology, now the app will be working in wireless environment and the server to be managing that i was directed to be any bluetooth enabled wap server/gateway of which nokia active server 2.1 is one of them..
Re: Where can i download Nokia Active Server?
I can not see any discussion for "nokia active server" which would have been made in part 9 years, so I would assume it would be one of the old services which is not available anymore.
Re: Where can i download Nokia Active Server?
someone also has told me that nokia is nomore offering Nokia Active Server..so i was refered to iAS(iPlanet Application Server)..but thank you and please help me in how i can go about it
Re: Where can i download Nokia Active Server?
I don't think iAS is Nokia service, or please correct if I'm wrong.
Re: Where can i download Nokia Active Server?
When dealing with apparently-disappeared tools, it is always a good idea to check the manufacturer, on Wikipedia for example. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPlanet tells you that iPlanet was some Sun-Netscape venture, and as Netscape is out of business for a long time, and Sun was merged into Oracle, now you need to look for Oracle iPlanet Web Server.
Re: Where can i download Nokia Active Server?
Nokia Activ Server (note no 'e' in "Activ") was Nokia's WAP gateway product (one of several, actually). I recall Nokia stopped developing/offering it some 10 years ago, or so.
