Nokia X3-02 C++ TCP/IP Application
Running a MoSync application that uses cellular network to send a TCP/IP message (80-100 bytes long) to a TCP/IP server.
Connect time is constantly stand on about 5 minutes (minutes).
When using the MoSync emulator it takes a split of second.
I checked it on 2 different cellular networks with same results.
Is there any kind of X3-02 setting that may cause that miserable performance?
Thanks,
Re: Nokia X3-02 C++ TCP/IP Application
Somehow I can not decode. You ask about C++ TCP/IP application, but the Nokia X3-02, https://www.developer.nokia.com/Devices/Device_specifications/X3-02/, supports Java only.
It is possible to move this question to the Java boards if you like.

Hi BluePixel! Welcome to Nokia Developer Discussion Boards!! :)
Need more hints - are you in a 3G network or GPRS ? Have you tried with WiFi ?

Re: Nokia X3-02 C++ TCP/IP Application
@BluePixel, since you are trying in X3-02, it should be Java or Web Apps - you should better know if you are using a Java app or else.

Re: Nokia X3-02 C++ TCP/IP Application
Hi Gopal,
Thanks for your greeting.
I'm using the multiplatform MoSync open product. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MoSync.
Cant use WiFi since it must work with no WiFi coverage.
Both networks i'm working with are 3G.
Thanks,
Blue
Nokia X3-02 TCP/IP Application
Hi everybody,
I'm a new comer here and that is my problem:
Running a MoSync (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MoSync) application on X3-02 that uses cellular network to send a TCP/IP message (80-100 bytes long) to a TCP/IP server.
Connect time is constantly stand on about 5 minutes (minutes).

Re: Nokia X3-02 C++ TCP/IP Application
Ok, now I see that it is transcribing C/C++ code to Java ByteCode. It is MoSync who really knows what their code is doing, and they appear to have a discussion Forum.
(The two threads are merged now)
Re: Nokia X3-02 C++ TCP/IP Application
My question to this forum:
Is there any kind of X3-02 setting that may cause that miserable performance?
Re: Nokia X3-02 C++ TCP/IP Application
No device has any such settings that can make any app work slow during network calls. did you try to test this app on some other S40, S60 and Java devices.
Re: Nokia X3-02 C++ TCP/IP Application
Thanks Amitabh.
No I didn't try it on other devices yet.
I will, soon.
Re: Nokia X3-02 C++ TCP/IP Application
Hi BluePixel, welcome to our community!!!
I can do some tests for you, if you wish... I have some Series 40 and S60 devices =)
