RBasicGsmPhone::SetManualNe twork() unsupported on Nokia 9210?

Hi,

I am trying to use the network (operator) part of the RBasicGsmPhone API. However the only thing that seems to function is RBasicGsmPhone::SetNetworkMode() with ENetworkSetModeAutomatic. If I try to set manual mode or directly change network specifying a network id explicitly, I get KErrGeneral or KErrAbort. If I try EnumerateDetectedNetworks(), I get KErrNotSupported. I get these results with both the asynchronous and the synchronous versions of the function calls... Has Nokia not implemented the functions fully for security reasons? or am I missing something?

Hi,

Changing the network by hand is not supported. These fuctions are not allowed for security reasons.
