Cant connect to In-Car bluetooth device
Hi I have a bluetooth enabled "in-car" stereo cd-player, I used to have a Nokia 6230i and a Sony Ericson k700i that both worked perfectly with it. whenever the phone rang or I made a call it would route the call via the Stereo and was in effect a "handsfree" device. All I needed to do was pair the phone with in car HI-FI and once paired the rest was automatic. The problem is that I have recently got the Nokia 6680 which will pair with the Car stereo but does not work when a call is made or recieved, can anyone help it is a great phone in any other respect and will recieve data from PC and other phones via bluetooth. Thankyou
Re: Cant connect to In-Car bluetooth device
can you describe in more details what happen? Can you see if your phone is connected to the carkit? Have you tried to reset your carkit?
Re: Cant connect to In-Car bluetooth device
Hi,
Have you deleted the pairing of the old phones. Some hifi Stereo devices are capable of holding several pairings at same time, but have only room for 5 devices. The pairings are not deleted like headsets.
The internet music players in sold in U.K are a good example of this
Re: Cant connect to In-Car bluetooth device
In order to get the car kit to pair you need to press the button on a hard wired remote mic for more than 4 seconds, it will then start to blink and the you can pair it to the phone by enter 0000, according to the phone the devcie is successfully paired but strangely not connected. I hope this helps thanks
Re: Cant connect to In-Car bluetooth device
In the phone go to the BLuetooth UI and select the paired devices view. Select your In-Car and set the device as authorized in the option menu. This option allows your device to connect automatically. If this doesn't help you can try reset the In-car to removed previously paired devices like suggested in that thread.
