How to take a screen shot of symbian theme? (Using PC)

Hi everybody,

Until today, I still don't know and I would like to know that, how to take a screen shot of symbian theme using PC? Please teach me. Is it using MBM Wizard, Theme Studio or what? My real motive just wanna take screen shots of the old symbian themes I got, no other motive, PEACE!

*I didn't have the .tdf file of the themes. :D

if you are running it on PC, just press Alt-PrtSc and paste the image into paint (or other program). In case you need to capture the screen in your phone, then you'll need to search internet for screen capturing applciations, and capture screens with them, and then send them to your PC (over BT or IR maybe)

But I can't open the themes, how? :confused: I just got the symbian files only (theme01.sis).

Try to use UnSis to extract theme files from the SIS-file and than place these file in correct places on your emulator. You can download UnSis here: [url]http://www.symbian.com/developer/downloads/tools.html#unsis[/url]

:confused: What are in the SIS file are MBM and SKN file?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question...
Whatever. After you UnSis your installation file to a folder you get the files in this folder as they should be placed on phone after installation. Something like this:

\system\skins\<some_uid>\skin_name.mbm
\system\skins\<some_uid>\skin_name.skn

You need to place these files to the corresponding places in your emulator folder. For example:

\epoc32\data\Z\system\skins\<some_uid>\skin_name.mbm
\epoc32\data\Z\system\skins\<some_uid>\skin_name.skn

There is one demo version for free use, I have been trying on my N90 and it works cool! (Ofcourse there are some limitations in the demo version! ;) ) Have you tried using the demo version?
