I've started playing with Carbide.ui S60 Theme Edition 3.1 and see that the icons in the supplied sample schemes aren't terribly exciting. I really like the icons that come with my N80, and would like to just be able to use those in developing new themes, rather that sit down and draw up a million new icons from scratch.
Are these "in the phone" icons available for download anywhere, or am I really going to have to sit down and draw everything up?
I thought I just found them at [url]http://mac.softpedia.com/progDownload/Nokia-Series--Icons-Download-21889.html[/url] but apparently the file is cactus, so still looking...

I doubt that Nokia would give the hard work of designers for free, or even for a fee:-). I have looked at the link you have given (the file for Mac). It does not contain Nokia icons but icons with the Nokia phones. So If you manage to extract the file, you got nice pics of phones;-).
Bugger - well, they should! That way, our creative juices can flow (gee sounds awfully messy) into developing themes and not worrying about drawing up new icons if we like the original ones.
OK, I can still extract the original ones from my phone, but it's going to be a little tedious.
m8 if you will not add any new icons to your new theme then you will end up with the default icons on ya phone... ;)
