Symbian Developer Certificate could not work
i m developing application for E61 in which i have to deal with contact database. To use contactdb api i need developer cert as self signed could not work. So i registered on Symbiansigned and got developer cert with self generated primary key. Then i signed my sis and install app on E61. Now when i click on it it gave me security error. I also extracted IMEI no in my app. Could any body suggest me any way sothat app would execute.
If i used Acs publish ID will it work? if so suggest me step that i should follow to
sign my sis,UID to be used?
Re: Symbian Developer Certificate could not work
Hi,
For IMEI, you need to add ReadDeviceData capability in your application.
If you are using developer certificate then no need for ACS Publisher ID right now.
Download PDF from following link, it contains all the information.

Re: Symbian Developer Certificate could not work
Hello,
I have already included ReadDeviceData capability in mmp of my application and signed my app using developer certificate still it gives me Security error when i tried to start my app. Thats why i decided to use ACS Publisher ID.
I read somewhere on forum that if u wish to use contactsdb then u need to use Acs publisher id + dev cert. Is any problem with UID3 /UID2 i m using?
so any suggestions.. where i went wrong?
