For HTTP, please make sure your "HTTP Proxy Server" setting is
correctly configured. This setting is located on the Series 40 SDK
by selecting:

As you likely have found by now there's a new version 1.0 of the SDK available. You should use this one.
The beta version did not include a User's Guide. The final version was released July 2 and it includes the User's Guide. Enjoy.
