Hi Alessandro,

Hi Alessandro,
Even if its lower file size, it still won't enable playback of full length music tracks. Also what if the files are local and in MP3 format?
There is no way around it, 4mb is...
Ok so live video fed by user interaction on the client, thats nice to know!
Be very useful to findout the exact points of latency, as there are at least 3 ro 4 processes I would have thought as...
In a unconstrained bandwidth situation you should acheive less than 2 seconds thats for sure. I would have thought 500/ms is acheivable but you still haven't said what exactly you are trying to do?...
Hi,
16mb is very much needed to utilise full potential of Flash Lite multimedia. Audio in particular, but also to assist with image and memory management. It would be another nail in the coffin if...
Are you testing the latency with a wireless broadband network or 3g/3.5g connection?
I've found 3g network latency and speed is pretty variable so always test with wireless.
Also, what are you...
Hi,
FLV is a media file so it must be loaded in by a swf file and then played. Its the same as on a desktop computer, you can't just open a flv.
You need a swf video player that looks for flv...
Great to know this is sorted :)
Matt, if you are desperate you could try contacting a Nokia repair center - they may be able to flash your phone to an earlier version. But thats pretty desperate -...
Hi Dave
I would have thought it should be set to 'Local Access only' - did you try that?
Cheers
Nick
Hi Gary,
Its clear that there problem is with the Nokia implementation.
In summary there are 2 sides to this: the 'feature' and the 'bug'.
So based on what Steve has told us the...
Seems like Flash Lite 3 breaks all records in memory allocation:

Hi Bill,
Sent a version to you offlist.
For your N95 8Gb - you may have to trick the update service - has worked well for me in the past. Updates to other models/regions can take ages.

Well I've only really checked standalone player. But when I looked at a few websites with flash video they also rotate to landscape when you select the flash video swf, but its a bit different...
Hi Alessandro,
Its a confusing thing to explain :)
Just to be clear the rotation to landscape is activated for me without me setting my phone to landscape!
Cheers
Hi Alessandro,
This is confusing :)
So you aren't having rotation forced onto you with auto rotate. We were using animation to change between landscape and portrait too. But the auto rotate...
Hi Stephen/Alessandro,
Stephen - I'll try and get a version I can send you on Monday.
Alessandro - when you demoed the video from the standalone player I pressume it rotated as soon as it...
Hi All,
Just installed the new update to my lovelly N95 8gb. Everything works great except we have big issues with one of the features of video playback.
Not sure if this meant to happen in...
Good to see this happen! Thanks Nokia/Ron.
Hopefully we can help make it a great resources for Nokia developers unfamiliar with Flash as well as seasoned Flashers.
Cheers

It should support xml socket. The quote you refer to has nothing to do with xml socket - it just refers to the install state of FL3, so browser, wallpaper etc.
What doesn't work?

most probably if you are using embedded fonts you'll need to embed 'Latin 1' aswell as the other characters you will be using.
If you aren't using embedded fonts then you can't do anything I am...
Hi Peter,
Nice find, iteresting that users will be able to download. I guess that would allow Nokia to offer it as an optional extra to operators whilst not fragmenting the platform too much...
yeah its a shame that FL2 won't be around for a bit yet, means there is still a need to hold onto 176x208 res phones, which is difficult when you've tasted QVGA.
I don't think this is possible. Firstly, Adobe don't provide a FL2 player for S60 3rd edition.
Apart from that the player that Nokia create for s60 is likely to be integrated on a OS level, so I...
all series 40 3rd edition feature pack 1 phones, NOT all s40 third edition phones
just to be clear :)

Hi Peter,
I cannot re-create this in a sample swf but I have it in at least 2 completely different dev swfs - I do not want to post these on a public forum. I have seen it in other peoples swfs...
