Is it possible to start a Java MIDlet from an application in Nokia 7650?

I cannot build the example binaries for other platforms than WINS.
When I run
'abld build thumb urel'
in the group directory of some example, it goes ok for a few nmakes and then displays:
...

When installing VC++ 6.0 did you let it register the environment variables in vcvars32.bat ? I got the same error message when I didn't have the variables registered.
